The content in my portfolio is just a small sampling of how I am able to communicate feelings or ideas through images. As you browse my portfolio, take a few moments to absorb each and know that the images and each design piece was thought through with care for balance and beauty.
Design Evolution
I redesigned and rebranded the cover, updated and changed the interior as well as instituted editorial design and flow . The focus was to modernize and clean up over all look.
Layout Details
These magazine advertisements feature dynamic photos using Photoshop overlays with a rich color palette to unite the elements. The focus was to create a balance between the copy and imagery components.
Rebranding
This publication evolved from a newspaper to magazine. Along with that transition came design challenges from logo placement, advertisement design/sizing, color placement, font and style usage.
Print Collateral
I Collaborated with the Marketing Department to showcase the company identity and provide in-house brochures, pamphlets and multi-fold mailers.
Professional Photography
Maternity and wedding photography were focus and graphic design was an integral part due to album design, composition and color. Promotional material was designed for marketing business.
Passion Projects
The opportunity of several musical CD packaging projects has challenged me to develop personal images photographed and create layout concepts.

Hi, I’m Joel and I have been involved in design/art for well over 40 years! I am always interested in fun design that solves the problem and makes stakeholders happy. I enjoy designing from a dimensional object to print and sometimes the other way around. Every work is different but each is met with the same care from color and layout to the pixel-perfect details.
